For Musicians Only: Time has come… don’t you think?

Dragi colegi,

Va trimit aici un link catre pagina cu istoria AFM (American Federation of Musicians) – unde eu sunt membru din anul 2000. Va rog parcurgeti fiecare decada sa vedeti cum trebuie sa arate organizarea, asumarea si eficienta unei bresle cu demnitate si care gindeste in viitor. Lucrurile NU se vor schimba de la sine… asa cum multi distinsi ‘colegi’ se asteapta, scarpinindu-si burtile in delasarea mahmura a bohemiei neputincioase intarita de lasitatea mostenita genetic.

Principii si motivatii de organizare

“The basic principle of organizing is to come together collectively to build real power.  Many united voices are more powerful than one. Organizing is the life-blood of a union, as well as any movement for social and economic justice.

When we organize to ensure that musicians work under collective bargaining agreements as well as other kinds of contracts and compacts and to build solidarity in our union, we are stronger and more united. When we join with others to organize for the rights of artists and workers, and in support of unions and activists in our communities as part of a broader mission, we are even more powerful.

Musicians have a unique role to play in the labor movement, and in our society as a whole.  Throughout history, musicians have been at the forefront of the movement for change, because as artists and unionists, we inspire as well as inform.  As the great singer, actor and activist Paul Robeson once said, “Artists are the gatekeepers of the truth.”

Te intereseaza asa ceva? Sau esti multumit de felul cum se desfasoara cariera ta si de perspectiva ofertei unei vieti decente mai departe?

Viitorul nu suna bine… usor, usor vom ajunge sa platim noi ca sa ne permita cite un patron de club sa cintam in localul lui…

Altfel nu veti avea nici un drept – la apusul vietii voastre, sa va reprosati macar impotenta si delasarea comoda dar sigura… Daca sunteti mici in gindire si in asumare, atunci ce mai cautati printre noi si de ce aveti pretentii de profesionist?

Si inca nici am vorbit de felul cum se cinta pe la noi 🙂
